Full Job Description

Lead the Future of Dentistry.

Overjet is the world-leader in dental AI. Already, thousands of dental providers and insurers rely on our platform to deliver the best possible care. Now, we’re looking for talented people to fulfill our mission: improve oral health for all.

Overjet is where builders become leaders. Everyone here loves to make new things: new products, new partnerships, new content, and a new category of AI technology. And as Overjet grows ridiculously fast, so will you.

Simply put, there’s no better place to accelerate your career. Come join us!

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, analytically-driven operator to own our billing and collections function end-to-end. This is not a back-office billing clerk role — it's a strategic operations seat for someone who has scaled revenue collection at a high-growth SaaS company ($100M+ ARR), and who thrives at the intersection of daily execution, process architecture, and data-driven decision-making.

You'll run the day-to-day collections motion while simultaneously identifying what's broken, building scalable systems to fix it, and using data to drive continuous improvement. The right candidate has operated at enough scale to know what good looks like — and has the drive to build it here.

The initial range we have in mind for this role is $130-180K base salary. The final number will be dependent on experience, interviewing performance, references and depth of knowledge.

Responsibilities

Collections Ownership & Execution

  • Own the full collections lifecycle, from invoice issuance through payment receipt.

  • Ensure customers are enrolled in autopay whenever possible and proactively drive adoption where it is not yet enabled.

  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue balances, and resolve payment issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to manage escalations, renewals, and at-risk accounts related to billing or payment issues.

Process Design & Optimization

  • Design and continuously improve scalable, automated collections workflows that minimize manual intervention.

  • Leverage AI, automation tools, and billing platforms to improve payment success rates, predict risk, and prioritize outreach.

  • Identify inefficiencies in existing billing and collections processes and lead initiatives to streamline or eliminate them.

  • Build clear playbooks for dunning, outreach cadences, and exception handling — creating durable infrastructure, not one-off fixes.

Data, Reporting & Strategic Insights

  • Track and report on key metrics such as DSO, aging, collection rates, autopay adoption, and payment failures.

  • Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in customer payment behavior.

  • Synthesize operational patterns into proactive recommendations — not just backward-looking reports.

  • Provide regular insights to Finance and Revenue leadership on collections performance and areas of exposure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, RevOps, Customer Success, and Product to ensure billing accuracy and a strong customer experience.

  • Provide feedback to Product and Engineering on opportunities to improve billing, payments, and automation capabilities.

  • Support audits, reconciliations, and financial close processes related to AR and collections.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6–10+ years of experience in collections, billing operations, revenue operations, or a related finance function in a SaaS or subscription-based business.

  • Experience operating within a scaled SaaS organization ($100M+ ARR preferred) — you know what mature billing infrastructure looks like and how to build toward it.

  • Proven track record of owning collections processes end-to-end and driving measurable improvements in on-time payments and DSO.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement automated workflows that reduce manual work while improving outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills — you're comfortable in data, can build your own reporting, and use insights to drive action, not just document them.

  • Strong familiarity with billing systems, payment platforms, and AR tooling (e.g., NetSuite, Stripe, Zuora, Chargebee, or similar).

  • Comfortable operating cross-functionally with Finance, RevOps, Customer Success, and Product teams.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive payment conversations professionally and effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience building or significantly overhauling a collections function — not just inheriting and maintaining one.

  • Exposure to high-growth or scaling environments where process didn't yet exist and you had to create it.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted billing tools or predictive risk scoring in a collections context.
