Job Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on Frontend WordPress Developer to build a corporate website as a white-label partner. You’ll implement a custom theme, reusable sections/components, and responsive layouts following accessibility and performance best practices. This is a short, high-intensity engagement, so we need someone who can ramp up quickly and deliver reliably.
Responsibilities
Implement a custom WordPress theme (based on _s) with clean, componentized templates, translating annotated Figma designs into production-ready HTML/CSS/JS.
Model content with ACF Pro (repeaters, options pages, field validation) and connect it to dynamic theme views.
Build responsive, reusable sections (e.g., hero, grids, accordions, tabs, sliders, forms) with keyboard/focus support and enforce accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.0 AA, semantic structure, ARIA, reduced-motion).
Optimize performance (Core Web Vitals), including image handling, lazy loading, CLS prevention, caching-friendly markup, and ensure proper integration of Gravity Forms and GTM/GA4 tracking.
Collaborate with QA on cross-browser/device compliance, resolve defects quickly, contribute to a lightweight design system, and follow code reviews, branching, CI practices, and ticket visibility.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
5+ years of experience building custom WordPress themes (not limited to page builders), with strong proficiency in PHP and WordPress query optimization.
Expertise in semantic HTML, modern CSS (Grid, Flexbox, custom properties), and vanilla JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong experience with ACF Pro (repeaters, options pages, and structured data modeling) and familiarity with Gutenberg block development.
Solid understanding of accessibility best practices (focus management, ARIA patterns for components like accordions, tabs, and menus) and responsive, cross-browser development across modern desktop and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
Experience with performance optimization (image handling, srcset, lazy loading, minimizing layout shift, and practical Lighthouse improvements) and building UI elements such as megamenus and sticky headers.
Familiarity with Git and CI workflows, including pull requests and pipelines, as well as integrating GA4 via GTM, cookie consent solutions, and basic consent mode implementations
