The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. You’ll lead day-to-day financial operations, manage one direct report, and serve as a strategic business partner across departments.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both ownership and execution—where your financial expertise will help shape the future of a regulated, tech-first company.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the preparation, review, and audit of annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP

  • Deliver monthly group consolidated management accounts and oversee monthly/annual close processes

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations and maintain internal control compliance

  • Supervise and develop one direct report (Accounts Assistant)

  • Provide variance analysis and performance commentary to leadership

  • Partner with payroll providers to ensure timely and compliant submissions (UK + international)

  • Oversee VAT filings for the UK and Malta

  • Ensure high-quality, timely balance sheet reconciliations

  • Act as the finance point of contact for auditors, tax authorities, and external partners

  • Administer company share options and respond to related queries

  • Support ERP implementation with a focus on financial controls

  • Identify and drive process improvements across the finance function

Minimum Qualifications

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)

  • 3+ years of finance experience, including audits and management accounts

  • Proven experience with IFRS and UK GAAP

  • Hands-on experience in small or scaling finance teams

  • Excellent communicator across finance and non-finance stakeholders

  • Eligible to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., betting, gaming, financial services)

  • Familiarity with UK and Maltese tax/VAT regulations

  • Experience with ERP system implementation Push to win
