Job Summary

The Senior Data Engineer will join a collaborative team responsible for building and enhancing data-driven applications and platforms used by professionals across the entertainment and technology industries. In this role, you will work closely with organizational leaders, product managers, technical project managers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and client service stakeholders to implement new features and products. The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer who can work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative environment, focusing on developing scalable data solutions, optimizing data warehouses, and ensuring reliable, high-quality data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration solutions using ETL tools such as dbt and SSIS.

  • Develop optimized scripts and stored procedures across database and data warehouse platforms.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines and implement modern automation practices for data processing workflows.

  • Perform database performance tuning and optimization for data warehouses and queries.

  • Implement and manage database security, including user management, roles, and permissions based on approval processes.

  • Enforce data integrity and quality by developing automated scripts and guardrails for data cleansing based on business logic.

  • Support deployment and maintenance of database solutions in production environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and client services to deliver data-driven features and solutions.

  • Contribute to database design, development, and best practices for networking concepts and system architecture.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of data warehouse and database technologies including Snowflake (SnowSQL/T-SQL), PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL), Oracle (PL/SQL), and/or Redshift.

  • Experience designing and implementing ETL and data integration solutions using tools such as dbt and SSIS.

  • Strong experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and warehouse optimization.

  • Experience managing database users, roles, permissions, and access control mechanisms.

  • Knowledge of database backup strategies and data security best practices.

  • Strong experience writing optimized scripts and stored procedures across database technologies.

  • Understanding of data pipelines and modern data pipeline automation techniques.

  • Experience deploying database and data solutions in production environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high productivity and communication standards.

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
