Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong data warehousing/integrations foundation, proficiency in Python or Java programming, and experience with version control systems like Git. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and optimizing data platforms, and ensuring efficient data processing and storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data platform solutions

  • Develop and optimize data processing

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to meet data needs

  • Implement data governance and security practices

  • Monitor and improve data pipeline performance and reliability

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in data warehousing/integrations

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Strong proficiency in Python or Java

  • Familiar with DevOps processes

  • Fluent knowledge of the English language

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms

  • Experience with modern data stack

  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar

  • Knowledge of data mesh principles and decentralized data systems

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code like Terraform or Pulumi

  • Experience with bash scripting and automation

  • Experience with message brokers like Kafka, Google PubSub, or Azure EventHubs

  • Experience with real-time data processing

  • Familiarity with data governance tools and practices

  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
