Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong data warehousing/integrations foundation, proficiency in Python or Java programming, and experience with version control systems like Git. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and optimizing data platforms, and ensuring efficient data processing and storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop data platform solutions
Develop and optimize data processing
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to meet data needs
Implement data governance and security practices
Monitor and improve data pipeline performance and reliability
Basic Qualifications
Experience in data warehousing/integrations
5+ years of experience
Strong proficiency in Python or Java
Familiar with DevOps processes
Fluent knowledge of the English language
Bonus Skills
Experience with cloud platforms
Experience with modern data stack
Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar
Knowledge of data mesh principles and decentralized data systems
Experience with Infrastructure as Code like Terraform or Pulumi
Experience with bash scripting and automation
Experience with message brokers like Kafka, Google PubSub, or Azure EventHubs
Experience with real-time data processing
Familiarity with data governance tools and practices
Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
