Are you a marketing attorney who thrives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and legal risk management? Snowflake is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our Legal team, supporting global Marketing, Brand, and Events organizations. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor on marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, global events, and go-to-market initiatives. The role is based in Atlanta, with a hybrid in-office requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a legal advisor to marketing and brand stakeholders on marketing campaigns and go-to-market initiatives.
Review and clear external-facing materials, including press releases, executive communications, customer stories, white papers, digital content, and thought leadership.
Support Snowflake-hosted events and sponsorships, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating sponsorship agreements, co-marketing agreements, speaker and publicity releases, and related event terms.
Advise on advertising claims, substantiation, endorsements, testimonials, promotions, and brand risk management.
Draft and negotiate marketing, publicity, and strategic partnership agreements.
Provide legal guidance on product launches, promotional programs, and marketing-related terms and disclosures.
Drive scalable processes, templates, playbooks, and training to support a fast-growing global marketing organization.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, IP, commercial, privacy, and compliance legal teams to ensure aligned and practical legal frameworks.
Proactively leverage technology, including AI tools, to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of legal support.
REQUIREMENTS
JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and the ability to practice law in Georgia.
8+ years of relevant experience in marketing, advertising, brand, or commercial transactions, including experience supporting technology companies or advising on the marketing and commercialization of SaaS, AI, or data-driven products.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, high-visibility marketing initiatives.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in sponsorship and marketing agreements.
Sound judgment and the ability to deliver clear, actionable advice to business stakeholders.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
Comfort and proficiency using AI-enabled tools in day-to-day practice, with experience building or implementing workflow automations, intelligent templates, playbooks, or other scalable solutions to modernize legal operations.
Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and evolving environment.
