Subscription Crossgrades Team:
As an Android engineer on the Subscription Crossgrades Team, you’ll build features that help learners discover and subscribe to the Duolingo plan that best fits their goals. Our team’s mission is to make subscription purchases convenient, compelling, and clear, so that learners can unlock Duolingo’s most powerful tools for long-term success. You’ll work on improving how we present subscription options across the app, highlight the value of our offerings, and craft delightful, high-impact conversion moments. We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about creating seamless, user-centered purchase flows and subscription experiences.
Current User Retention Team:
As an Android engineer on the Current User Retention team, you will build and optimize features that help learners stick with their language goals day after day. You will work on several high-profile features, including Streaks and Quests, that make it motivating and rewarding for learners to keep coming back to learn on Duolingo. You’ll collaborate with product and design partners to ship experiment-driven features end-to-end. You’ll craft polished in-app experiences and use data to understand how your work shapes learner behavior at scale. We’re looking for engineers who are excited about rapid experimentation and building delightful experiences that keep learners engaged.

We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.
This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
Salary Range:
$177,700—$240,400 USD
