In this role, you will design and build the critical data infrastructure required to onboard a new marketing mix modeling (MMM) and incrementality testing vendor. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of translating the external vendor's B2C schema specification into a production-ready data mart, serving as the bridge between internal direct-to-consumer (DTC) data and external ingestion.
Responsibilities
Participate in vendor scoping sessions to finalize full table and field requirements before the build phase begins.
Model a dedicated datamart in the dbt transformations marts layer, sourcing data from core order, line item, and customer tables.
Translate vendor schema specifications into specific internal field mappings, accurately accounting for DTC-adjusted logic such as ship-to addresses, order dates, and customer grain.
Configure Snowflake data sharing and connections to facilitate seamless vendor ingestion.
Write comprehensive dbt tests and documentation for all delivered models to ensure long-term data quality and transparency.
Manage the full merge request workflow using GitLab, adhering to strict peer review processes before deployment.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Proven ability to execute complex technical requirements independently with minimal guidance.
Strong proficiency in SQL, with deep experience analyzing source tables across orders, customers, and attribution models.
Expert-level experience with dbt Core and dbt Cloud, including building mart models and writing MetricFlow-compatible YAML configurations.
Proficient with Snowflake, specifically regarding schema design, query testing, and data sharing setup.
Demonstrated background in Analytics Engineering, with an emphasis on translating external vendor schemas to internal DTC data models.
Experience with GitLab for branch management and merge request workflows.
