Job Summary
They are looking for an Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for leading aspects of the accounting function at the Corporate entity in the Stagwell network.
The ideal candidate will perform management reporting functions for the Client while supporting various corporate and business initiatives. This person will report to the Stagwell Core Brand Accounting Manager and provide monthly financial results analysis to each head of Shared Services functions.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable).
Manage accounting for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other corporate accounting areas.
Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Analyze financial results and explain significant variances.
Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and other business functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
Participate in ERP implementations, system enhancements, or finance transformation initiatives as needed.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc).
Corporate accounting experience
Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Basic understanding of the technical aspects of account analyses and financial statements.
Must be able to reconcile accounts and be able to perform GL analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
3+ years of Accounting experience.
Basic Excel skills required (Sumif, Vlookup, Pivot Tables).
Ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail.
Highly organized and motivated self-starter with good interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent English Level.
Located in Latam.
