We are looking for a highly motivated and goal-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in driving Mapbox’s sales growth by prospecting, qualifying, and generating new business opportunities. You will work closely with your manager and sales team to identify high-potential leads, engage with prospects, and set the foundation for successful sales conversions.
In this role, you will focus on building relationships with prospective customers, understanding their needs, and introducing them to the power of Mapbox's location-based solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and passionate about technology and sales.
What You'll Do
Intelligent Prospecting: Research and identify high-value leads across inbound/outbound channels using a modern stack of email, dialer, LinkedIn, and AI-driven intent signals to prioritize and personalize outreach at scale.
AI-Enhanced Outreach: Architect and execute multi-channel outreach, leveraging AI to customize messaging. You will ensure every touchpoint is bespoke and relevant while maintaining a high volume of activity.
Workflow Optimization: Continuously experiment with AI tools and automation to prune manual tasks from your daily routine, increasing your "speed-to-lead" and overall productivity.
Lead Qualification: Engage with inbound leads and conduct strategic discovery to qualify prospects based on business needs, budget, and decision-making timelines.
Pipeline Generation: Schedule meetings for the sales team with qualified prospects to ensure a steady flow of high-quality opportunities in the sales pipeline.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions, lead status, and next steps within Salesforce to ensure total data integrity.
Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives, the Manager of SDRs, and other sales team members to ensure smooth lead handoff and alignment on account and prospecting strategies.
Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of sales technology. Participate in regular training to enhance your product knowledge, sales skills, and mastery of AI-forward prospecting workflows.
Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs for leads generated, meetings booked, and sales opportunities created through a blend of strategic effort and scaled outreach.
What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
1+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or a similar role,
ideally in a SaaS or tech-focused environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential customers.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to meet and exceed performance targets.
Experience with cold outreach via email, phone, and social media to engage prospects.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools (e.g., Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
A passion for technology and innovation, paired with a baseline understanding of AI tools and a curiosity for discovering new solutions to drive sales productivity.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
