Overview

The Safety Compliance Supervisor is responsible for developing, enforcing, and continuously improving safety and sanitation programs across Botanic Tonics, Pacifikava, and the Distribution Center located in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a proactive culture of workplace safety, employee well-being, and food safety. This position includes direct supervision and leadership of the sanitation team across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Program Management

· Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and internal company standards.

· Conduct regular facility audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and resolve safety hazards.

· Lead incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

· Deliver ongoing safety training (including new hire orientation, PPE use, emergency response, and toolbox talks). Promote Safety Culture.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation: injury reports, inspection records, SDSs, and training logs.

· Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to align safety and food safety programs (SQF, GMP, SSOPs).

· Manage the safe storage, use, and disposal of chemicals per environmental regulations.

· Support internal and external safety audits and regulatory inspections.

· Lead emergency preparedness initiatives and conduct periodic safety drills.

· Maintain accurate safety records, including injury logs (OSHA 300).

Sanitation Program Management

  • Design and maintain a comprehensive Master Sanitation Schedule for all areas, equipment, and tools. Includes: SSPOs and documentation.

  • Supervise and develop the sanitation team across multiple shifts, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management.

  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs, FDA, USDA) and company policies.

  • Conduct routine environmental monitoring, swabbing, and inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness – pre-op and post cleaning.

  • Manage proper handling and documentation of sanitation chemicals, including compliance with SDS and labeling standards.

  • Investigate sanitation non-conformances, audit findings, and customer complaints, implementing timely CAPAs.

  • Maintain all required sanitation records and prepare documentation for regulatory and third-party audits.

  • Serve as the primary contact for sanitation-related inspections and certifications.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sanitation effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety or sanitation-related role, ideally in the food and beverage manufacturing industry or lab setting.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, GMPs, and industrial safety standards.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to train, lead, and motivate.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in safety management within a food or beverage facility, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Expertise in sanitation chemicals, CIP systems, SSOPs, and food safety protocols (HACCP, SQF/BRC, GMP).

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach to perform essential job functions.

· Frequent standing and walking in production and warehouse environments with exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, and machinery.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call for emergencies or audits.
