Full Job Description

As a Project Manager within the Data Management Business Unit at Datavail you will lead AI, Data & Analytics, Data Governance, Master Data Management and other similar consultancy projects at key strategic clients to success, work closely with the technical delivery and account management team to (1) Ensure customer satisfaction (2) Ensure project healthiness across multiple metrics (3) Help position additional work for the company. You will also develop integrated project plans, act as primary customer contact for projects. You will also participate in or develop mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating projects. Use various analyses, other performance measures and risk assessments to manage implementations or to recommend change. Negotiate program and project changes and incorporate changes into project change processes to maintain statements of work, cost and schedule baselines. Lead and direct a remote or on-site project teams to be successful. This position will focus on delivery of solutions inside our Data Management and Database business units. Candidates with working knowledge of delivering solutions to clients using one or more of the following: Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure AI capabilities, Amazon Web Services AI capabilities, various Master Data Management products. Must be familiar with project delivery in both Waterfall and Agile lifecycles and the tools that facilitate those methodologies (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project.) Candidates must have project successes of turning at times complex business challenges into effective business and technical solutions that provide significant business value to strategic clients.Essential Functions:Responsible for managing cross-functional projects for clientsOversee project budget and driving course corrections to maintain such, for items within your controlAble to organize internal business groups to manage and implement projects to scope while managing customer expectationsSimultaneously manage a portfolio of unrelated projects and provide transparency into progress to client and Datavail managementCan tailor a project management approach to the type/size of project using various techniques including Agile and waterfallDevelop integrated schedule including critical path and ensures assigned resources are executing as plannedMust have the ability to multi ask and enhance a team environmentMonitor, track, and control change to the projects through formal change control management of requirements, configuration, performance measures, cost, schedule, program organization structure, and technology environment (release schedules, infrastructure changes, etc.)Contribute to Datavail PMO standards, processes, and tools to enable continuous improvement across the entire portfolio and PMO teamEducation/Experience: 7 or more years Project/Program Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 4 years managing data and analytics projects within a cloud or on-prem environment - Must have experience and be adept and lead globally sourced project teams as we use a global delivery modelBachelor's degree, Business or Technical or a related field of study2-3+ years professional services experience with leading projects for external or internal customersPMP or Agile implementation methodology experience KnowledgeSkills, & Abilities:Hands-on / roll sleeves up work ethic, team player willing to take on work needed for project to succeed, willing to go beyond the project management role if needed (help create documents, presentations, etc.)Strong leadership skills and the ability to interface and report status with client leadership (Director level or higher)Experience successfully managing implementation projectsDemonstrated ability to manage (lead and direct) and execute projects through application of best practicesDevelops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovationDevelops solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions. - Decision making that has positively affected the financial posture of the companyAble to lead projects from a position of experience and drive successful outcomes. - Excellent customer communication skillsWaterfall & Agile project methodology experience required
