Full Job Description
PermitFlow is redefining how America builds. We’re an applied AI company serving the nation’s builders, tackling one of the largest information challenges in the economy: understanding what can be built, where, and how. Our AI agent workforce helps the fastest-growing construction companies navigate everything from permitting and licensing to inspections and project closeouts – accelerating housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the country.
Despite being a $1.6T industry, construction still suffers from massive delays, wasted capital, and lost opportunity. PermitFlow has already delivered unprecedented speed, accuracy, and visibility to over $20B in development, helping contractors reduce compliance time, de-risk projects, and scale with confidence.
As the U.S. enters a new capex supercycle across data centers, factories, housing, and renewables, joining PermitFlow means building the AI infrastructure at the core of every construction project driving the next wave of reindustrialization.
We’ve raised over $90M, most recently completing our Series B, from top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis, and Altos Ventures, with backing from leaders at OpenAI, Google, Procore, ServiceTitan, Zillow, PlanGrid, and Uber.
Our HQ is in New York City with a hybrid schedule (3 in-office days per week). We prefer NYC-based candidates or those open to relocation.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own how PermitFlow is positioned, messaged, and brought to market across multiple products. This is a high-impact IC role at the intersection of product, sales, and growth - the kind of person who can translate complex AI and construction workflows into narratives that resonate, and then turn those narratives into assets, campaigns, and GTM moments that drive real pipeline.
You'll be a core strategic partner to Sales and Product, with a direct line to leadership and the autonomy to shape how a category gets defined from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Own Positioning & Messaging: Develop sharp, differentiated value propositions and ICP-specific narratives that make PermitFlow's AI capabilities compelling across verticals and buyer segments.
Drive GTM Strategy: Connect market dynamics, customer insights, and product capabilities into go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and growth.
Lead Product Launches: Own end-to-end launches from positioning to execution that generate pipeline, accelerate adoption, and feel like moments.
Build Sales Enablement: Create the assets Sales needs to close: one-pagers, pitch decks, battle cards, landing pages, and case studies.
Own Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a living view of the competitive landscape through win/loss analysis and field-ready intel that keeps Sales sharp.
Develop Customer & Buyer Insights: Conduct customer interviews, synthesize data, and build deep persona understanding that shapes everything we put into market.
Support Expansion & Advocacy: Partner with CS and Account Management to develop retention messaging, customer references, and stories that accelerate new deals and deepen existing ones.
Build Category Leadership: Establish PermitFlow as the defining voice in AI-powered pre-construction through thought leadership, analyst relationships, trade placements, and demand gen content.
What we’re looking for
Proven Experience: 4+ years in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, a startup, or a scale-up environment.
Clear, Compelling Writer: Translate complex products and workflows into messaging that sticks.
Hands-On Builder: Fluent in the full GTM toolkit (positioning frameworks, launch playbooks, sales enablement, and lifecycle content) and you make the assets yourself.
Strong Cross-Functional Collaborator: Work closely with Sales, CS, and Product to align and execute.
Customer-Obsessed and Data-Driven: Run customer interviews, extract insight from win/loss data, turn customer language into positioning, and use metrics to decide what to do next.
Comfortable with Ambiguity: Energized by speed; you move fast, test ideas, and iterate.
Bonus: Experience marketing to construction, proptech, or vertical SaaS audiences.
What We Offer
Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a high-growth company
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
Flexible PTO and paid family leave
Home office & equipment stipend
Hybrid NYC office culture (3 days in-office/week) with direct access to leadership
In-Office Lunch & Dinner Provided
