Full Job Description

OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Product Line Manager to own AI capabilities and third-party integrations across Red Oak’s entire Compliance Connectivity Platform — spanning Compliance, Distribution, and Supervision products.

This is not a single-product role. You’ll drive AI-first delivery across the integrated platform while building the connective tissue that links Red Oak to the broader financial services technology ecosystem: CRM, CMS, DAM, and Data Lake systems. You’ll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI capabilities, modern API/integration architecture, and the highly regulated, relationship-driven world of wealth management. You’ll partner daily with Engineering, Strategy, and GTM teams — and have a direct line to clients: compliance officers, marketers, advisors, and operations leaders who will use what we build under your direction.

Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the AI product roadmap end-to-end — from discovery through delivery — across Compliance, Distribution, and Supervision products.

  • Evaluate and prioritize AI opportunities based on client impact, technical feasibility, regulatory risk, and business value.

  • Design for human-in-the-loop workflows where AI accelerates and humans supervise — balancing acceleration with FINRA/SEC defensibility.

Integration Strategy & Delivery

  • Define and prioritize integrations with third-party platforms, including CRM (Salesforce), CMS (Adobe), DAM (Seismic), and Data Lake/warehouse systems.

  • Develop and maintain API strategy in partnership with Engineering — ensuring consistency, documentation, and developer experience.

  • Evaluate and implement MCP (Model Context Protocol) patterns where applicable to enable agentic workflows and platform extensibility.

Success Metrics

  • Define, track, and communicate success metrics for AI features: accuracy, adoption, time-to-insight, exception rates, and model drift.

  • Establish integration health metrics: adoption, sync reliability, time-to-value, and partner ecosystem growth.

Discovery & Client Engagement

  • Conduct ongoing discovery with wealth managers, compliance officers, advisors, and technology buyers to understand workflows, pain points, and AI/integration readiness.

  • Translate client needs into clear product direction — including PRDs, opportunity assessments, and executive-ready narratives.

  • Engage Design Partners across product lines to validate roadmap priorities and iterate on production features.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner with Engineering to shape AI system design and integration architecture — ensuring requirements are technically grounded.

  • Collaborate with Design to create AI-native UX patterns with appropriate confidence indicators, exception queues, override controls, and audit trails.

  • Serve as the connective tissue across product lines for AI and integration features — ensuring alignment and avoiding fragmentation.

Responsible AI Practices

  • Champion responsible AI practices in client conversations — addressing bias, hallucination risk, data privacy, and auditability proactively.

  • Ensure AI features are designed with compliance, auditability, and human oversight baked in from day one.

GTM Partnership

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to position AI and integration capabilities competitively, enable the field, and support enterprise deals.

  • Support Solution Engineering with technical depth on AI and integration capabilities.

Regulatory Stewardship

  • Navigate the regulatory environment (SEC, FINRA, ERISA, state regulators) to ensure AI features meet compliance and audit requirements.

  • Stay current on AI regulatory developments affecting financial services.

Vendor & Partner Evaluation

  • Evaluate AI/LLM vendors, APIs, and infrastructure partners with an eye toward data residency, governance, and contractual risk.

  • Manage technical partnerships with integration targets (CRM, CMS, DAM, Data Lake vendors) and ensure mutual success.

Competencies

Required

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years directly shipping AI/ML-powered products in a B2B enterprise SaaS environment.

  • Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture — you can hold your own in technical conversations with engineers.

  • Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering — you don’t need to write code, but you speak the language fluently.

  • Strong discovery and research instincts — comfortable running user interviews, shadowing operational workflows, and synthesizing insights into crisp product strategy.

  • Demonstrated track record of AI features that users actually adopted — you have before-and-after impact stories to tell.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce clear PRDs, executive briefs, and business cases, and present confidently to C-suite stakeholders.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, PE-backed environment with accountability to roadmap commitments.

Preferred

  • Experience with compliance, supervision, or RegTech products.

  • Background in financial services, fintech, or wealth management.

  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or agentic AI patterns.

  • Experience with integration platforms (Workato, Tray.io, n8n) or building/managing public APIs.

  • Background with CRM (Salesforce), CMS, DAM, or data warehouse integrations.

  • Exposure to multi-agent AI systems, data pipelines, vector databases, or document intelligence platforms.

  • Experience with enterprise AI sales cycles including security reviews and vendor risk assessments.

Work Structure

Red Oak values the energy and creativity that comes from working together in person. To support this cultural element, this hybrid role is based at our North Austin office with a minimum of 3 days (Tuesday–Thursday) in the office each week.
