Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About This Role:

We are looking for a Principal Software engineer to help design and scale our carbon-reducing cloud computing platform. Crusoe Cloud is building intuitive, turnkey cloud solutions that simplify AI workload management.

You'll play a key role in evaluating tools and frameworks for the engineering team, considering reliability, scalability, operational costs, ease of adoption, and recruiting implications. Most importantly, this role will work across the entirety of the engineering organization advocating for forward thinking architecture and customer experience.

As part of your responsibilities, you'll develop and refine technical and team fit assessments, mentor engineers, and actively contribute to their development in partnership with engineering managers.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Advocate for forward-thinking architecture and solutions that reduce duplication, increase efficiency, and establish scalable patterns across the engineering team.

  • Get your hands dirty! You'll be expected to contribute code, write technical architecture documents, and review merge requests.

  • Develop and refine technical assessments to aid in our hiring process and mentor other engineers, helping them grow in their careers.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • The ability to act as a mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance on design proposals and conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality.

  • A passion for leading by example and fostering an environment of innovation and high-quality software engineering practices.

  • Experience with a wide range of tools and technologies, and the ability to evaluate them for reliability, scalability, operational costs, and other key factors.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across different teams to achieve shared goals and optimize the customer experience.

Benefits:

  • Industry competitive pay

  • Restricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology company

  • Health insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents

  • Employer contributions to HSA accounts

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Teladoc

  • 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salary

  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule

  • Cell phone reimbursement

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Subscription to the Calm app

  • MetLife Legal

  • Company paid commuter benefit; $300 per month

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $256,000 - $320,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
