**1\. Role Overview** Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to engage professionals with advanced expertise in physics. This **full-time opportunity** invites experts in the field to help train and refine AI systems capable of understanding and reasoning through complex physics concepts. As an **AI Tutor Physics Specialist**, you will provide high-quality annotations, analyses, and data inputs across multiple physics domains to enhance AI model accuracy and scientific depth. You will collaborate closely with technical teams to develop and refine annotation tools, select challenging problems across advanced physics disciplines, and contribute to the design of innovative data systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong subject-matter expertise with adaptability and a deep curiosity for advancing technology at the frontier of AI and physics. **2\. Key Responsibilities** - Use proprietary software to label, annotate, and evaluate physics-related data - Provide expert solutions and insights across subfields such as condensed matter, quantum mechanics, and computational physics - Collaborate with technical teams to develop new AI training tasks and improve data workflows - Refine and enhance annotation tools for efficiency and accuracy - Analyze complex physical problems and provide structured, data-driven feedback to improve AI reasoning - Adapt to evolving task instructions while maintaining precision and consistency **3\. Ideal Qualifications** - Master s degree or PhD in Physics or a closely related field - Expertise in one or more areas such as condensed matter physics, high energy physics, nuclear physics, quantum computing, computational physics, or biophysics - Strong ability to read and write in both professional and informal English - Skilled in navigating academic databases, research tools, and technical resources - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities - Capable of independent judgment and decision-making with limited information - Deep enthusiasm for innovation and scientific advancement **4\.
