The Problem
36 million businesses in America need insurance—it’s not optional. 77% are underinsured. 40% have no coverage at all. The distribution system failed them: too slow, too opaque, too confusing.
Over 90% of commercial insurance is still human-led. We’re building the inverse: 90%+ AI-led, pushing toward the higher 90s. Not by patching legacy workflows—by building AI that makes humans more effective, improves the customer experience, and eliminates friction at every step.
We’re adding ~1,000 customers per month. We’ve grown 100x since last year. We’re looking to do even more this year—and that’s why we’re hiring.
Computational distribution needs fuel—qualified demand, fed efficiently and at scale into a sales floor that converts.
The Thesis
You’ll own the paid growth machine that feeds Harper’s revenue. Not “supporting” marketing—running the system that turns spend into bound policies. You’ll see how leads convert in real time and continuously refine campaigns based on what actually closes.
The Role
This is a numbers, systems, and scale role. You’ll manage paid acquisition across Google, Meta, and lead-bidding marketplaces while working closely with sales and engineering to optimize the full funnel from click to bind.
You work directly with founders. No committee. No approval chain. You run it, you measure it, you own the outcome.
What You’ll Do
Own paid acquisition — Manage and scale campaigns across Google, Meta, and lead bidding marketplaces
Optimize the full funnel — Landing pages, messaging, conversion flows; track from click to bind
Experiment relentlessly — A/B tests across ads, creatives, audiences, landing pages
Automate everything — Work with engineering to automate bidding, pacing, attribution, reporting

Requirements
5+ years managing paid acquisition (Google Ads, Meta) with significant budgets
Experience with B2B, SMB, or lead-based acquisition funnels
Strong analytical skills and funnel economics understanding
Track record of optimizing full-funnel, not just top
Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
Nice to Have
Insurance, fintech, or regulated industry experience
Experience with lead bidding marketplaces
Marketing automation background
Prior startup experience
Compensation
Salary: $120,000–$150,000 + performance bonuses & equity
