About Lawhive
We’re on a mission to make sure everyone has access to the law.
Lawhive is an online platform for consumers and small businesses to get legal help for a fraction of the cost of a law firm. Our platform combines regulated human lawyers collaborating alongside the world’s first AI lawyer, specifically built for consumer legal work.
Equal access to the law is one of the biggest and most pressing unsolved problems in society today. We’re passionate about leveling the playing field and believe access to the law should be a basic utility in society.
Our AI lawyer Lawrence is built on top of our own fine tuned LLM and recently passed the UK’s bar exam equivalent.
We’re backed by some of the top US and UK VC funds including Google Ventures, Balderton Capital and TQ Ventures. We recently secured a $40M Series A funding round to facilitate international expansion and to grow our team, representing one of the five largest Series A rounds in Europe for 2024.
About the role:
As a People Operations Associate at Lawhive, you'll play a vital role in supporting the employee experience across the entire lifecycle. You’ll help build smooth, scalable processes that put people first and empower our team to do their best work.
Key responsibilities:
Own and manage new starter onboarding, including preparing contracts and welcome materials, scheduling induction sessions, and ensuring all accounts, tools, and equipment are set up ahead of day one
Handle off-boarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and compliance
Oversee IT and equipment provisioning for new hires, including equipment and software licences, and maintain accurate asset trackingMaintain and update internal systems, including HRIS, IT asset registers, access permissions, and shared documentation
Assist with system access changes and workspace setups for internal moves and team restructures
Manage day-to-day employee queries related to systems, tools, and onboarding, escalating where neededSupport office logistics, including desk setups, shared space management, and coordination with facilities and IT vendors
Help drive engagement by supporting internal initiatives around culture, wellbeing, learning & development, and DEI
Contribute to ongoing process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, updating documentation, and suggesting ways to streamline onboarding and operational workflows
What we’re looking for
You’re detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about building great employee experiences. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are proactive by nature, and enjoy helping teams run smoothly.
You’ll likely have:
1–3 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, or similar roles (ideally in a startup or scale-up)
Familiarity with HR tools (e.g. HiBob, Ashby, Notion, or similar) and comfort with handling sensitive data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
A proactive mindset - you spot inefficiencies and improve them
A people-first attitude and genuine interest in helping teams thrive
