In 2025, it was recognized by Mortgage Professional Australia as the No. 6 Top Brokerage, underscoring its strong performance, deep industry expertise, and unwavering commitment to client success.Key Responsibilities: Offshore Team Management & Performance: Lead, manage, and support all offshore teams across functional areas, including loan support, client services, settlements, paraplanning, marketing, and administrative support Implement robust performance management systems, including regular reviews, feedback mechanisms, and corrective action plans. Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment that aligns with company culture and values, transcending geographical boundaries. Act as the primary liaison between headquarters and offshore teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and issue resolution. Payroll & Financial Management: Oversee and ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of offshore payroll. Manage offshore financial operations, including budgeting, expense tracking, and ensuring sufficient funds for operational continuity (e.g., payroll, vendor payments, local overheads). Liaise with local accounting/finance teams and vendors to ensure adherence to local financial regulations and tax laws. Monitor offshore income streams and proactively address any shortfalls, working closely with senior leadership to secure necessary operational funding. Prepare and present financial reports specific to offshore operations.Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and optimize offshore operational workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness. Identify and implement best practices in offshore management, leveraging technology and automation where appropriate. Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and documentation for offshore activities. Ensure compliance with relevant local and international labor laws, regulations, and industry standards. Manage vendor relationships critical to offshore operations (e.g., HRIS, payroll providers, local legal counsel). Strategic Planning & Growth: Contributes to the strategic planning for offshore expansion and operational scaling. Identify opportunities for process automation, technology adoption, and resource optimization within offshore operations. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on offshore market trends, risks, and opportunities.RequirementsMust-have Skills/Qualification: Minimum of 8 years experience in the Australian mortgage industry. Proven leadership and team management background. At least 3 years of experience as an Operations Manager. Demonstrated ability in process improvement and operational efficiency.Experience in handling HR-related functions, employee concerns, and transactions. Training and Recruitment experience (interview new candidate, onboarding training, and team operation process training, etc). A keen eye for detail. " Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to work under tight timelines in a collaborative environment. Excellent written and spoken English. Advantageous: Experience in offshore support to Australian brokerage or broker is an advantage.
