Job Summary
The Mediaocean Analyst sits at the critical intersection of media operations, finance, and enterprise technology, taking ownership of the support, optimization, and governance of media financial workflows. Reporting within a global Shared Services framework, this role acts as both the functional system expert for Mediaocean platforms (Prisma, Spectra) and an operational partner ensuring clean data integration with core ERP setups like Deltek Maconomy. The ideal candidate will combine a sharp financial mindset with deep platform literacy to drive standardization, reduce manual billing cycles, and implement automated, exception-based financial controls.
Responsibilities
Media Finance Operations: Support end-to-end financial workflows including media billing, invoicing, vendor payment reconciliations, and client funding cash applications across global brands.
System Optimization: Act as the functional platform expert in Mediaocean software (Prisma, Spectra), configuring system settings, workflows, and templates aligned with global standards to increase processing throughput.
Data Integration & Integrity: Monitor and maintain seamless data flows between Mediaocean and Deltek Maconomy ERP, verifying master data consistency (clients, vendors, campaigns) and resolving integration bottlenecks.
Cross-Functional Partnering: Serve as the core operational liaison between agency finance teams, central Shared Services (AP/AR), and IT, providing system training and guiding the onboarding of new agencies into standardized workflows.
Reporting & Month-End Support: Produce and analyze media financial reports covering spend pacing, revenue status, and variances while supporting month-end close operations.
Governance & Audit Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards, maintaining precise SOPs and desktop procedures.
Automation & Transformation: Partner with transformation squads to implement workflow automations, exception-based processing models, and AI-enabled anomaly detection for billing validation.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Must-Have Technical Expectations & Core Skills:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Professional Experience: 2–5+ years of dedicated experience within agency media finance operations, financial systems support, or a centralized corporate Shared Services (SSC/BPO) environment.
Niche Software Expertise: Direct, hands-on administrative or advanced operational experience utilizing Mediaocean platforms (Prisma or Spectra).
Financial Literacy: Thorough understanding of core accounting structures, including multi-currency billing, high-volume reconciliations, and AP/AR workflows.
Data Analysis Capabilities: Advanced MS Excel skills with a proven ability to reconcile, manipulate, and analyze mass data sets across disconnected systems.
Global Collaboration: Outstanding English communication skills with comfort working across multiple international regions and time zones.
Nice-to-Have:
ERP Familiarity: Prior experience working with or supporting Deltek Maconomy ERP systems.
Technical Integration Skills: Exposure to data workflows, system integrations, or API mapping.
