About the Role
The Material & Shipping Supervisor oversees all inventory, materials flow, and shipping operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that materials are accurately received, tracked, prepared, and shipped while maintaining efficient production support and high service standards. The supervisor will lead a team responsible for receiving, inventory control, order preparation, and outbound shipping, ensuring quality, accuracy, and operational consistency.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership role, enjoys optimizing systems, and can balance people management with data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Materials
Oversee receiving, system transactions, and NetSuite inventory updates.
Maintain accurate on-hand inventory through cycle counts and reconciliations.
Monitor supply levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Improve inventory control processes and reporting.
Leadership & Operations
Lead and develop a team of materials, inventory, and shipping associates.
Track KPIs, review performance, and drive process improvements.
Collaborate with production and operations to maintain smooth material flow.
Troubleshoot issues affecting production or shipping timelines.
Qualifications
Required
3–5 years in inventory, logistics, shipping, or materials supervision.
Manufacturing environment experience.
Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience with digital tools; NetSuite preferred.
Proven ability to lead teams and improve KPIs.
Preferred
Experience in both inventory management and shipping/fulfillment.
Dental, medical device, or warehousing background.
Experience with workflow optimization and SOP development.
