About Dedale:
Dedale is the differentiating source of strategic intelligence in the technology space.
With a unique team of over 250 full-time employees, Dedale leverages a network of over 25,000 market professionals to deliver on-the-ground strategic intelligence to investors and corporates, with a core focus around North America and Europe.
Our team gathers top talents with diverse and international backgrounds. Our team has the strongest expertise in the ecosystem on the B2B tech & software space, and we are surrounded by a network of mentors including high-profile tech founders and investors.
Our Culture:
Dedale gathers a group of highly talented international individuals (incl. US, Chinese, Filipino, French, Moroccan, Latvian, Lebanese nationalities among others).
The leadership team is composed of experienced investment professionals & management consultants (ex-McKinsey, BCG Project Leaders & managers).
Our advisory board is extremely high profile, including some of the most successful investors worldwide (incl. Managing Partners of the largest PE and Growth Equity funds, and Tech unicorn entrepreneurs).
We seek to develop a dream team of outstanding investment analysts with strong academic and professional achievements and a passion for investing and technology.
Your Role:
Attend targeted trade exhibitions and conferences across Europe and the US, credentialed as Dedale media
Produce the editorial deliverable for event organisers: published reports and short-form video coverage of the event
Capture proprietary competitive intelligence in real time behind that editorial cover: booth investment signals, product announcements, panel conversations, buyer attendance patterns
Turn that captured intelligence into new formats built for senior audiences, from structured briefings to short-form video, that put it directly in front of C-suite executives and decision-makers
Write reports, conduct interviews, and produce content on the ground, with the confidence to grow into a thought-leadership voice for the firm as your track record builds
Travel extensively to touring European and US conferences and trade shows
Coordinate selectively with senior topic leads, who join specific events to leverage existing relationships rather than cover ground-level reporting
Grow with the office: as a founding member of the Lisbon team, there's a clear path from execution into building and leading the team and strategy as the role and the office mature
Your Profile:
Across the firm, we attract motivated, intellectually curious, and analytically rigorous young professionals who are passionate about learning and creating impact. It's highly likely you'll move forward in the process if:
You have a journalism, communications, or media background: degrees from institutions such as ISCTE-IUL, Universidade Europeia, Universidade Lusófona, IPAM Lisboa, or ESCS (Escola Superior de Comunicação Social) are a strong fit
You have a genuine hustle and relational drive, comfortable approaching strangers, building rapport quickly, and earning access at events
Fluent, confident English is a must, both written (for published reports) and spoken (for on-camera coverage and in-person networking); Portuguese native or fluent, French/German/Spanish a plus
You're comfortable with extensive travel and touring European and US trade exhibitions and conferences
You have strong short-form storytelling instincts, are able to spot what's newsworthy at an event and turn it into a clean report or video segment quickly
You have a naturally curious, observant mind: picking up signals (competitive moves, buyer sentiment, product cues) that others in the room would miss
Cherry on the Cake:
You have prior journalism, PR, or event-coverage experience
You're passionate about technology and the B2B tech & software space, even without a formal background in it
You like collaborating as a team and delivering your best as an individual
