Job Summary:

The Manager of Software Engineering will lead and develop a high-performing team of software engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and strong stewardship of agile practices. This role oversees day-to-day team operations, resource planning, and quarterly roadmap execution to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Responsibilities include leading technical discussions, making key architectural decisions within the team’s domain, conducting deep data analysis to support business needs, and driving effective troubleshooting. The Manager will guide all phases of the SDLC—from estimation and planning to development, testing, support, and bug resolution—while balancing priorities across a team of approximately seven engineers.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and mentor a highly skilled, talented team of Software Engineers.

  • Understand and practice agile software development and management.

  • Provide guidance and implement the standards for the planning and prioritization of resource conflicts to ensure the successful delivery of the committed product roadmap every quarter.

  • Lead technical discussions and drive effective technical decisions covering their area of responsibility.

  • In depth data analysis to support business requests and application troubleshooting.

  • Ability to operate and develop in various levels of the SDLC.

  • Estimation for changes and development proposed.

  • Management of all day-to-day tasks and resources associated with the team (~7 people).

  • Planning, developing, testing, supporting, and bug fixing.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year software engineering management.

  • Minimum of 6 years experience designing, developing and delivering software products.

  • Knowledge of SaaS operations, and modern technical SaaS tools and how to use and integrate with them.

  • Eager to share ideas and learn from other team members.

  • Strong communication skills to be able to clearly describe and discuss problems.

  • Experience with designing and deploying applications in a cloud-based environment.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Experience with React, Javascript, TypeScript, NodeJS, OOP, TypeORM, MySQL, Git, and AWS (Terraform is a plus)

  • Managing performance metrics.

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The applicable salary range for this role is: $179,800- $222,000, subject to change.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s leveling and compensation–including a candidate’s professional background and experience. This range may be modified in the future and final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
