About the Role:
As a key leader within the Confluent Sales Team, the Inside Sales Representative Manager, will be responsible for driving growth by leading a high performing team of Inside Sales Representatives who will partner with senior Account Executives on our most strategic accounts. The team you will lead will be responsible for pipeline activities, in addition to directly finding and closing opportunities up to $100K. They will also be responsible for finding new consumption workloads (called Streaming Projects) so customers get the most value out of our technology.
As the manager for this team. Your goal will be to ensure your team has the structure, support, and accountability needed to consistently deliver results. This includes building strong customer relationships, running high quality sales cycles, and executing against territory plans. You’ll also play a key role in recruiting and onboarding new talent, refining sales motions, and helping shape the future of our land engine.
What You Will Do:
Directly manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives focused on pipeline activities, in addition to directly finding and closing opportunities.
Coach and guide ISRs through all stages of the sales cycle for net-new opportunities.
Lead regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls to drive accountability and execution rigor.
Recruit, hire, and onboard top sales talent to support team growth.
Partner with Enablement and Operations to reinforce core sales skills, tools usage, and Confluent-specific best practices.
Support accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene through disciplined use of Salesforce, Clari, and other sales tools.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to unlock value for prospects and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Participate in key customer meetings to support deal strategy, build trust, and drive successful outcomes.
Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture grounded in learning, inclusion, and results.
What You Will Bring:
Proven experience leading teams that sell technology and/or SaaS solutions to Mid-Market and Named new logo accounts.
Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top-performing sales talent.
Experience leading teams that consistently exceed quota in high-growth, acquisition-focused roles.
Ability to coach ISRs on consultative, value-based selling to technical and business stakeholders.
High degree of ownership, adaptability, and focus in a fast-paced, evolving sales environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
Thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment where speed, adaptability, and ownership are critical to success.
Strong passion for sales execution, with a particular focus on pipeline generation, qualification, and acceleration of new logo opportunities.
