Role Overview

As a Maintenance Operative at Scape, you will perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and more across the Hammersmith site. You will work as part of a team, handle emergencies, oversee subcontractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility for on-call duties and shift work between 7am-8pm, Monday to Sunday.

We look forward to receiving your CV.Scape Hammersmith Hours: 40 hours per week, shift patterns between 7am-8pm, Monday-Sunday.Onboarding: The successful candidate will be asked to complete a DBS check and provide references to cover the last 3 years.Maintenance Operative Hours: 40 hours per week to cover 7am-8pm, Monday-Friday. You will also be part of an on-call rota which will include evenings and weekends.Your Main Responsibilities Include Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom maintenance and more) Carry out fault finding and leak investigationsCarry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigationsComply with Health & Safety processes and responsibilities Complete reports and paperwork as requiredOversee and work alongside the maintenance team of your site and the work carried outStock-taking (where appropriate) and keep records of stock levelsEnsure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy, and equipment is checked on a regular basis. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance ManagerControl and direct specialist sub-contractors at all times when they visit siteReplace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixturesDealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairsParticipate in regular, structured on-call system within the UKTo be responsible for all keys and locks within the siteUndertake painting duties where applicableAdhere to procedures to ensure that all maintenance issues are completed in a timely and correct manner, efficiently, economically and for the benefit of the site and the companyTo be aware of and adhere to all company Policies and ProceduresReporting all incidents/accidents to the Maintenance Manager, filling in the accident book when required and log all incidents/accidents in the Health & Safety computerised systemTo observe good personal hygiene and appearance including uniformParticipate in any training sessions as required Your Key Attributes And Skills Are A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Good communication skillsExcellent time keepingA friendly and professional mannerExcellent customer serviceThe ability to work under pressureExperience in a similar roleEligible to live and work in the UKFlexible in working hours Why work with us?As a Scape Maintenance Operative you will be part of an enthusiastic team who work hard to give students the ultimate Scape experience.
