About the role
As a key member of our growing M&A team, you’ll play an essential role in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities across France and Benelux vertical software landscape. This position offers a unique chance to gain end-to-end exposure to the investment process — from sourcing and valuation to due diligence and deal execution — while actively shaping the future of our ecosystem. It’s a dynamic, hands-on role for someone eager to grow quickly, take ownership, and contribute to building the next generation of leading software companies.
What you will do
Identify and connect with vertical software businesses across diverse sectors. Initiate and maintain outreach and communication with potential targets, their owners, and stakeholders
Collect and analyse data from various sources to effectively assess potential targets (incl. proper management of all CRM processes)
Prepare valuations (incl. full financial model) and conduct comprehensive analyses during the origination and due diligence processes
Develop/revise marketing and transaction materials, as well as documentation for investment committee purposes
Represent Everfield in meetings with CEOs and at trade shows/conferences, with frequent travel
Demonstrate the capability and eagerness to manage the entire due diligence process in the future, gaining exposure to all aspects
Ensure all company information, calls, outreach activity is consistently and with high-quality saved in the CRM
(Appreciated) Start building strong relationships with CEOs, investment bankers, and industry veterans to facilitate connections with target companies
(Appreciated) Lead and manage specific workstreams within the due diligence process
(Appreciated) Enhance processes as the platform expands, continually refining the origination playbook as you gain experience as well
What we are looking for
Ideally, at least 1 year of experience in software/tech-based transactions at an investment bank, private equity firm or corporate development
Competencies
Professional
Familiar with steps of a transaction process, from sourcing, execution and closing
Strong analytical, financial and summarizing skills
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Some experience in corporate finance, valuation, software valuations and specific metrics
Strong academical background with a Masters degree from a business or engineering school with a specialisation in finance
Written and spoken proficiency in French and English is a must, German or Spanish a plus
Soft skills
Understanding and curiosity about software and technology
Tenacious, energetic, and outgoing personality
Ability to adhere to process and help the team continuously improve it over time constantly adapt
Hand’s on, able to work independently/autonomously with a collaborative team spirit
Entrepreneurial and international mindset
