✨ What We're Looking For
Exploring new heights, we are looking for a Localization Specialist who will play a pivotal role in driving the localization strategy for all our products, ensuring an enhanced experience for our users.
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
Support and apply market analysis to help streamline localization needs for new regions, languages, and products
Work on budget alignment for translation projects, forecast costs for BAU (KTLO) localization work, ensuring compliance with team budget
Support and continuously improve localization quality standards, frameworks, and quality control procedures for translated and localized content
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Content, Technical Support) to ensure localized content aligns with company strategy and user needs
Provide training, guidance, and consultations to internal teams on localization best practices and effective use of localization tools
Work with translators, proofreaders, and voiceover vendors, and support processes for managing an outsourced localization team, including scaling or optimizing resources based on product needs
Oversee localization efforts for the products across 15+ languages, including marketing creatives, educational content, recipes, meal plans, workouts, documentation, etc.
Achieve cost efficiency targets by leveraging automation and AI-assisted solutions (e.g. DeepL, GPT-based tools), content reuse, MT, and AI personas for translation, transcreation, and voiceover workflows
Investigate, propose, and help implement strategies to optimize localization processes and improve scalability
Adapt product and content strategies to accommodate the expansion of localization efforts and exploring new formats
🎯 Required skills:
At least 5 years of experience in localization industry
Proven experience setting up, owning, or significantly improving localization processes
Hands-on experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) and contributing to BRDs or requirements for CMS integrations
Experience managing localization into multiple languages and working effectively in ambiguous, ad-hoc, fast-changing business environments
Experience managing Translation Memories, termbases, AI/LLMs, and localization knowledge bases (e.g. product briefs, style guides, reference materials)
Experience in stakeholder and vendor management
Experience managing localization budgets, including cost forecasting, BAU/KTLO planning, and vendor spend optimization
Native or professional proficiency (C1+) in English; knowledge of at least one additional language (German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, or Ukrainian) is a strong plus
