ANNA Autism Care

Licensed Clinical Psychologist — Diagnostic Evaluations

Remote or in person at ANNA's Missouri centers

Independent Contractor (1099) | $150–$200 per hour

About ANNA

ANNA (Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement) is a mission-driven organization that provides ABA services to young autistic children (under the age of 6) and their families using a neurodiversity-affirming, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI) approach. We operate multiple centers across Massachusetts and Missouri and are looking for an experienced licensed psychologist to expand diagnostic access for Missouri families.

Position Overview

The Licensed Clinical Psychologist conducts diagnostic evaluations — delivered via telehealth or in person at ANNA's Missouri centers — for young children (under age 6) referred for suspected autism spectrum disorder across ANNA's Missouri market. This contractor role owns the full evaluation lifecycle: record review, caregiver interview, assessment administration, differential diagnosis, report writing, and family feedback sessions.

The psychologist partners with ANNA's clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure evaluations are timely, defensible to payors, and delivered with a neurodiversity-affirming, family-centered approach. Success is measured by evaluation timeliness, report quality and turnaround, family experience, and documentation that supports clean claims.

Ideal Candidate

You are a skilled diagnostician who finds meaning in giving families clarity at one of the most consequential moments in their child's early life. You bring rigor to differential diagnosis, warmth to feedback conversations, and discipline to documentation and turnaround. You are energized by expanding diagnostic access for Missouri families and by helping shape an evaluation model — remote and in person — that is both clinically defensible and family-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Evaluation Services

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children under 6 — via telehealth or in person at ANNA's Missouri centers — including developmental history, caregiver interview, standardized assessment, and behavioral observation

  • Select and administer a defensible battery matched to the delivery setting, from gold-standard in-person instruments (e.g., ADOS-2) to telehealth-adapted tools (e.g., TELE-ASD-PEDS, caregiver-report and adaptive measures)

  • Formulate differential diagnoses distinguishing ASD from language, developmental, and behavioral presentations

  • Produce comprehensive written reports meeting payor medical-necessity standards

Family Partnership & Communication

  • Lead feedback sessions delivering diagnostic results with clarity, warmth, and neurodiversity-affirming framing

  • Prepare caregivers to participate effectively in the assessment process, including tele-administered sessions

  • Connect families to next steps, including ANNA's ABA services where clinically indicated

Documentation, Payor & Quality

  • Maintain documentation that supports ANNA's clean claims standard and withstands payor audit

  • Complete payor credentialing (where applicable) and maintain active panel status

  • Adhere to Missouri telehealth regulations, informed consent requirements, and ANNA policies

Clinical Collaboration

  • Participate in monthly clinical syncs with ANNA clinical leadership

  • Respond to clinical and revenue cycle queries within 2 business days

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ANNA's evaluation protocols

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctorate in Clinical or School Psychology (PhD or PsyD)

  • Active, unrestricted Missouri psychologist license in good standing

  • 3+ years conducting pediatric diagnostic evaluations, including autism-specific assessment

  • Proficiency with gold-standard and telehealth-adapted instruments (ADOS-2, ADI-R, TELE-ASD-PEDS, Vineland-3, or equivalents)

  • Ability to deliver evaluations via telehealth, in person at ANNA's Missouri centers, or both

  • Professional liability insurance; HIPAA-compliant remote work setup for telehealth delivery

Preferred

  • Active credentialing with MO HealthNet and major Missouri commercial payors

  • Deep experience with early childhood (under 6) presentations

  • Bilingual (Spanish a plus)

  • Comfort with technology-enabled clinical workflows, including AI-assisted documentation within PHI-compliant guardrails

If you don't meet every preferred qualification, we still encourage you to apply.

Compensation & Engagement

  • Rate: $150–$200 per hour, based on experience, evaluation expertise, and payor credentialing status

  • Work remotely, in person at ANNA's Missouri centers, or a mix — with flexible scheduling built around your availability

  • Steady referral flow from ANNA's Missouri centers and community partners

  • Credentialing support provided by ANNA for psychologists joining without existing payor panels

  • Collaborative clinical community, including monthly clinical syncs with ANNA leadership

  • Professional development and growth opportunities
