About the Role:
Crusoe is seeking a Lab Manager, Data Center to lead the operation and development of our hardware engineering lab and test environments. This role plays a vital part in supporting our infrastructure and AI systems through hands-on hardware validation, cross-functional collaboration, and meticulous operational control of lab assets, safety, and workflows.
What You'll Be Working On:
Oversee daily operations of the hardware lab and manage test environments for AI and high-performance computing platforms
Coordinate installation, racking, cabling, and setup of servers, GPUs, networking, and storage equipment
Manage lab expansion logistics, including space layout, power provisioning, and cooling requirements
Partner with hardware, software, and data center engineering teams to support bring-up, validation, and debugging of new hardware platforms
Maintain and enforce safety protocols and lab access standards
Track hardware and component inventory, including procurement, RMAs, and asset tagging
Document and maintain lab procedures, configurations, and usage guidelines
Support burn-in testing, root cause analysis, and hardware debugging where needed
Serve as the lab’s primary point of contact for audits, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience
5 to 10 years of experience managing hardware labs in data center or enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of server architecture, infrastructure components, and networking gear
Experience supporting GPU, CPU, or SoC bring-up and hardware validation processes
Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks across engineering, facilities, and operations
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and inventory or asset tracking systems
Bonus Points
Experience supporting AI workloads or HPC platforms
Knowledge of infrastructure automation and lab configuration tooling
Hands-on experience with debugging tools or instrumentation
Prior work in a rapidly scaling cloud or hardware organization

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $127,000 - $188,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
