Perplexity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team, revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. As an early hire in this crucial role, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our technology infrastructure from the ground up.

This role is based in-person at our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

  • Procure, maintain, and administer computers, networking equipment, and office technology

  • Manage and optimize corporate software systems

  • Oversee and enhance the Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure

  • Deploy and enforce robust security policies and procedures

  • Provision and manage user accounts and permissions

  • Provide prompt, effective technical support and troubleshoot complex issues

  • Lead IT projects focused on endpoint management, security enhancements, and infrastructure improvements

  • Deliver technical support and training on IT systems to staff (in-person and remotely)

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience

  • Strong proficiency in macOS & GSuite environments

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Extensive experience with network management, including LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and firewalls

  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including firewalls, encryption, and antivirus solutions

  • Proven track record in managing IT projects, including system upgrades and new implementations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS, Tailscale

  • Experience with international IT regulations and compliance
