To support our customers on their data journey, Snowflake is continuing to add talent to our team of industry experts. This role will evolve our industry strategy, drive industry-relevant features of our product, and work with top-priority executives across the Americas—with a primary strategic focus on Latin America (LATAM), followed by North America.
A Week in the Life of an Industry Lead, Retail & Consumer Goods, Americas:
Regional Strategic Alignment: Build and execute strategies for major retail technology providers and e-commerce platforms across the Americas, with a localized focus on the LATAM market. Identify where regional messaging is needed to move high-value deals forward in diverse economic landscapes.
Executive Engagement: Lead strategic planning discussions with the CTO, CDO, or Head of Data at major retail and consumer goods companies, translating Snowflake’s technical features into business outcomes like "hyper-localized customer journeys" or "cross-border supply chain transparency."
Product Advocacy: Work with Global Product teams to provide "Voice of the Customer" feedback, ensuring features like data sharing and clean rooms meet the specific regulatory and operational requirements of the Americas, particularly for emerging retail trends in LATAM.
Thought Leadership: Represent Snowflake at major regional events (e.g., ANTAD,NRF, Latin Consumer Summit) and build bilingual content (Spanish/English) on how the Data Cloud enables the shift to composable, data-driven architectures.
The Industry Lead at Snowflake is expected to:
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary SME for Retail and Consumer Goods in the LATAM. Experience with using data and technology to solve long standing needs in the industry.
Scalable Sales Execution: Support regional Sales and Account teams by building executive-level presentations tailored to the Retail and Consumer Goods markets in LATAM, and North America.
Narrative Bridging: Bridge the gap between technical Solution Engineers and business-focused AEs to ensure a cohesive, value-driven narrative that resonates with retail stakeholders across different cultures and languages.
Partner Ecosystem Growth: Identify and recruit regional partners (SIs and ISVs) that specialize in digital transformation, headless commerce, and marketing technology, with a specific emphasis on expanding the partner footprint in Latin America.
Minimum Qualifications:
Language Proficiency: Native-level bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required. Portuguese is a plus.
Travel Readiness: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily to LATAM countries, with additional travel within North America. Ideal location would be Dallas or Miami, secondary location could be Mexico City.
Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in Retail or Consumer Goods companies in technical or business leadership roles. Hands-on experience in the LATAM market is a big plus.
Data Driven: Demonstrated experience using data and technology to drive business performance (e.g., advertising planning and measurement, supply chain planning, commercial execution for sales teams .
Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of the modern data stack, SaaS ecosystems, and cloud technologies.
Influence: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing) without direct authority.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the retail landscape and consumer behavior trends specific to the LATAM region. Experience in an operating role in the region is a plus.
SaaS GTM: Experience in a Go-To-Market (GTM) or Sales-aligned role within a SaaS environment.
Advanced Retail Concepts: Deep expertise in Retail Media Networks (RMNs), data monetization, or the "Composable Commerce" movement.
Cloud Proficiency: Familiarity with Snowflake’s architecture or competitive cloud data platforms.
Advanced Degree: MBA or advanced degree in Data Analytics or a related field.
