This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on HR work, understands the importance of compliance, and sees operational excellence as a foundation for a strong, people-centric culture.

The Role: HR Operations, Compliance & Employee Support

As our HR Generalist, you will be the operational anchor for regional HR processes, working closely with the Regional Head of People Operations and the Global People, Skills & AI team.
Your work ensures that our employees feel supported, our processes run smoothly, and our operations always meet Croatian and EU legal standards.

You’ll manage the essential, “human-in-the-loop” HR responsibilities — from contracts and payroll to onboarding and employee support — allowing our strategic HR leads to focus on development, growth, and capability building.

What You’ll Do

1. HR Administration & Legal Compliance

  • Prepare, update, and manage employment contracts, annexes, and documentation in line with Croatian and EU labour laws

  • Ensure compliance with labour regulations (working hours records, H&S, mandatory documentation, workplace postings)

  • Maintain up-to-date internal policies and support mandatory training coordination

  • Prepare documentation and coordinate meetings for employee relations matters

2. Payroll, Timesheets & Core HR Processes

  • Manage the full payroll process for Croatia and support payroll processes across other European locations

  • Oversee timesheets and working hours registers, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance

  • Collaborate with Finance and external payroll partners to guarantee correct and timely payments

  • Manage benefits administration (e.g., supplementary health insurance) and support compensation reviews

  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and process all employee lifecycle changes

3. Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Lifecycle

  • Deliver smooth, structured, legally compliant onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Coordinate access, right-to-work checks, documentation, and induction scheduling

  • Act as the first point of contact for routine HR questions (policies, benefits, leave, processes)

  • Support relocations, EU mobility, and visa/permit administration when needed

4. Operational Support

  • Provide administrative support for employee travel (booking accommodation, flights, documentation)

  • Work closely with Legal, Finance, IT, and external partners to ensure streamlined and compliant operations across the region

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations, HR generalist work, payroll, or HR administration

  • Solid understanding of Croatian labour law and familiarity with EU employment standards

  • Hands-on experience with payroll, contracts, and timesheet administration

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information responsibly

  • Experience with HRIS (BambooHR, HiBob) is an advantage

  • Experience supporting multiple countries or working in an international company is a plus

  • Proactive, dependable, structured, and comfortable navigating operational complexity

Benefits we offer include:

  • 25+ days of vacation, depending on role and progression

  • Supplementary and additional health insurance

  • 50% covered MultiSport membership

  • Hybrid working model for flexibility and balance
