Why This Role?
We’re hiring a People Business Partner to support our technical organizations as Cohere scales through a major growth phase.
This is not a traditional “policy and process” HRBP role. We’re looking for commercially minded People partners who want to work closely with Engineering, Product, and Research leaders to build high-performing, fast-scaling technical teams inside one of the world’s leading AI companies.
Cohere is scaling quickly across a globally distributed environment with both remote employees and physical offices. We need People Business Partners who are energized by ambiguity, growth, and helping technical leaders operate at a higher level.
You’ll partner closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, and Research on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, performance, talent strategy, and team health during a period of intense scale.

This role is best suited for someone who:
has partnered closely with Engineering, Product, or technical organizations
has worked in startup, scale-up, or hypergrowth environments
understands distributed and remote-first environments
communicates clearly and concisely
can move fluidly between strategy and execution
enjoys operating in fast-moving technical cultures
