We’re looking for a GTM and G&A Sourcer to join our Talent Acquisition team in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will focus on building strong pipelines of exceptional talent across Go-to-Market and General & Administrative functions, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, and People teams. You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to identify top talent, develop innovative sourcing strategies, and contribute to hiring initiatives that support Upwork’s continued growth.

This role involves leading sourcing initiatives, solving moderately complex talent challenges, and influencing hiring outcomes through data-driven strategies and strong cross-functional collaboration for global hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that consistently generate high-quality candidate pipelines for GTM and G&A roles across multiple functions.

  • Build and maintain proactive talent pools using LinkedIn, sourcing tools, talent communities, and market research to support current and future hiring needs.

  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, and talent market dynamics.

  • Lead talent mapping and competitive research to identify new candidate sources and improve sourcing effectiveness.

  • Track and analyze sourcing metrics such as pipeline quality, response rates, and conversion rates to continuously refine strategies.

  • Engage and nurture passive candidates through thoughtful outreach and relationship-building that reflects Upwork’s inclusive hiring approach.

  • Leverage AI tools to summarize talent market insights, draft sourcing outreach, and streamline research while reviewing outputs for accuracy and relevance.

What it takes to catch our eye

  • Demonstrated experience sourcing for GTM and/or G&A roles such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, or HR in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong ability to conduct talent research, talent mapping, and competitive analysis to identify high-impact candidates.

  • Experience using sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and other research tools to uncover diverse candidate pipelines.

  • Curiosity and comfort using AI tools to support sourcing workflows, candidate research, and communication while refining outputs for accuracy and relevance.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to working across recruiting teams and hiring partners.

Upwork is establishing an operational hub in Toronto, Canada. The new office is expected to be fully operational by Q4 2026. This role will require 3 days in office once we have an office open.

This position will initially be employed through a partner to ensure a seamless hiring process while we establish the hub. Once the hub is established, there may be opportunities to transition to employment with Upwork, depending on business needs and other requirements. While employed by the partner, you’ll work as part of Upwork’s team, with access to our resources, culture, and growth opportunities.

The annual base salary range for this position  is displayed below. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program.

Annual Base Compensation

$70,000—$110,000 CAD
