About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Tech Lead/Frontend Squad Lead who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence and people leadership. In this role, you will be the architectural anchor for our frontend applications while leading a cross-functional team of both backend and frontend engineers. You will be a hands-on contributor to our React-based frontend while taking full ownership of your team’s professional growth, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Execution

    • Hands-on Development: Remain actively involved in the codebase, building responsive, high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript.

    • Code Quality & Reviews: Lead and conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure maintainability, security, and adherence to best practices.

    • System Architecture: Work with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with our microservices architecture and drive technical design discussions.

    • Performance: Optimize applications for speed and scalability across various devices and platforms.

  • People Management & Mentorship

    • Career Development: Work actively on individual career plans for all team members, defining clear paths for growth and high performance.

    • Goal Setting: Set and track both team-wide and personal KPIs/goals for every team member to ensure alignment with company objectives.

    • Direct Support: Conduct regular 1:1s, providing continuous feedback, coaching, and mentorship to both frontend and backend engineers.

    • Team Growth: Support hiring and technical onboarding for new engineers to scale the team effectively.

  • Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to transform concepts into intuitive interfaces and align on roadmap priorities.

    • Agile Orchestration: Facilitate Agile onies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and manage workload distribution and sprint forecasting.

    • Process Improvement: Drive team efficiency by refining development workflows and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


Your Profile

  • 6+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer with expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a formal leadership or management role.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams (managing both frontend and backend contributors).

  • Solid understanding of Design Systems, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack).

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).

  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
