Fractional Clinical Director (BCBA) – Arizona

Contract | $100 - 150/hour | Opportunity to Convert to Full-Time

ANNA Autism Care is launching services in Arizona and is seeking an Arizona-licensed BCBA to serve as our Fractional Clinical Director during market entry, with a clear path to becoming the Founding Clinical Director in the state.

This is an ideal role for an experienced BCBA who wants leadership impact, flexibility, and the opportunity to help build a market from the ground up before transitioning into a full-time leadership position.

About the Role

This is a 1099 contract role during the launch phase, expected to average part-time / fractional hours, with compensation at $100 - $150/hour for contracted work in Arizona. You may maintain other professional roles during this period, provided there are no conflicts of interest.

As the founding clinical leader for Arizona, you will play a critical role in establishing clinical, operational, and compliance foundations to support our go-live and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Regulatory Leadership

  • Serve as the Arizona-licensed clinical leader during market launch

  • Track and maintain your own licensure, supervision, and credentialing requirements

Licensing, Contracting & Credentialing

  • Collaborate closely with ANNA’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team on:

    • State licensing requirements

    • Payer contracting and credentialing processes

    • Clinical documentation needed for payer enrollment and audits

Clinical Program & Quality

  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and treatment standards as needed from state or payor processes

  • Coordinate and respond to clinical audits and payer reviews as needed

Operational Partnership (as needed)

  • Partner with operations leadership on launch activities, which may include:

    • Real estate and site readiness coordination (center-based or hybrid models)

    • Clinical input on staffing models and onboarding

    • Cross-functional collaboration to support a smooth market entry

Growth & Transition

  • Help lay the foundation for scaling clinical services in Arizona

  • Participate in planning for transition into a full-time Founding Clinical Director role as volume ramps

Qualifications

  • Active Arizona license to practice behavior analysis (required)

  • BCBA certification in good standing (required)

  • Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience in ABA (leadership experience strongly preferred)

  • Experience with payer audits, credentialing, and/or market launches is a strong plus

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across clinical, operational, and RCM teams

  • Must reside in Arizona
