Position Overview

Join Knowtex as a Forward Deploy Engineer to be the technical bridge between our platform and healthcare enterprises. You'll be embedded with customers to ensure successful integration of our ambient documentation platform with complex healthcare IT ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site technical implementations at VA medical centers and major health systems

  • Integrate Knowtex with VistA/CPRS, Epic Ambulatory, Athena Health, and specialty EMRs

  • Configure SMART on FHIR applications and FHIR R4 data pipelines

  • Deploy and optimize AWS GovCloud infrastructure including ECS containers and Lambda functions

  • Troubleshoot real-time issues during clinical workflows across oncology, orthopedics, and other specialties

  • Build custom connectors for specialty systems (OncoEMR, 4D EMR, Nextech)

  • Train clinical staff and IT teams on platform capabilities and best practices

  • Gather requirements and feedback to inform product roadmap priorities

  • Support Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Console implementations

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in healthcare IT implementation or integration

  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and SQL

  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, SMART)

  • Understanding of AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway)

  • Ability to travel 50-75% to customer sites

  • Excellent communication skills for working with clinical and technical stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with VistA, Epic, or other major EHR platforms

  • Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes orchestration

  • Understanding of clinical workflows and documentation requirements

  • Experience with Triton Inference Server or ML model deployment

  • Previous consulting or customer-facing engineering experience
