We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Senior Associate (m/f/d) to help build and scale our finance function. In this role, you will take ownership of preparatory accounting (Vorbereitung) across our bunch entities and play a key role in strengthening our financial operations as we grow internationally.
What you’ll do
Own spending management processes (primarily via Moss), including preparatory accounting, and support billing and debtor management
Drive continuous improvements in financial workflows and spending efficiency
Contribute to broader finance projects, including:
Non-dilutive funding: identify, apply for, and manage grants and R&D tax credits to extend runway without equity dilution
Dilutive funding support: assist in funding rounds through data room preparation, financial analysis, and due diligence support
Help manage the financial complexity of a multi-entity structure across Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands, ensuring consistency and scalability as we expand into new markets
Act as a key point of contact for external tax advisors and accountants
What you bring
Hands-on experience with accounting, billing, and spend management tools (e.g. DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk) or similar systems
2–4 years of experience in an in-house finance role, reputable consultancy, or completed training as a tax clerk/accountant
Strong attention to detail and quality orientation
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and comfort handling new responsibilities
Motivation to work in a fast-moving, innovative environment
High level of ownership, reliability, and flexibility
SaaS and/or fund industry experience is a plus
Fluency in German and English (C1+ level)
