We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

Also is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities, including offices, labs and other support areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sustainability and innovation, and have a strong background in facilities maintenance

What You Will Do

  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify
    maintenance needs.

  • Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities,
    including labs, offices, and other support areas.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot facility issues and perform necessary repairs and
    maintenance in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance activities, including repairs,
    replacements and inspections.

  • Maintain proper charging levels and coordinate service for our company-owned EVs
    (e.g., Vans and Trucks).

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.

  • Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed

What You Will Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training
    preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a related field.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems.

  • Basic carpentry and painting skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

  • Proficiency in maintenance software or work order systems.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

  • A hands-on, self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently, identify
    opportunities, and drive initiatives forward with minimal direction.

This position offers an hourly rate of $35–$54, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is onsite and based in Palo Alto, CA.
