Electro-Mechanical Engineering Associate Manager / Form Energy, Inc.:

Guide our cross-functional electrical and mechanical team. Develop high-current bussing,

contractors, high-voltage fuses, wire harness routing, and battery protection systems in

collaboration with the mechanical, electrical, compliance, and battery teams. Duties include:

1. Design and develop bussing, current collection systems, wire harnesses, and protection

mechanisms for advanced enclosure battery systems;

2. Drive design trade studies, performance optimization analyses, and

system-level solutions to achieve efficiency and reliability targets;

3. Define and maintain electro-mechanical component interfaces, ensuring seamless

integration, in collaboration with cross-functional teams;

4. Develop and propose data-driven design architectures and innovative approaches for

current collection, mechanical protection disconnects, fuses, and wire harnesses;

5. Usher the design release process, ensuring alignment with Design-For-Manufacturing

(DFM) principles and readiness for high-volume manufacturing;

6. Identify and communicate design risks, potential failure modes, cost implications, and

mitigation strategies to key stakeholders;

7. Perform/review simulation to back up design decisions;

8. Apply root cause analysis and collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to

improve yield.

Position Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic

Engineering, or a closely related field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a

mechanical engineering-related occupation.

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

1) 5 years of experience with prototyping techniques, fabrication, and high-volume

manufacturing;

2) 5 years of experience using CAD, including SolidWorks or NX;

3) 5 years of experience with product development and large-scale production ramps;

4) 5 years of experience guiding cross-functional teams;

5) 5 years of experience with FEA simulations, electrical fundamentals, wire harness

designs, high voltage designs, and current collection sub-systems;

6) 4 years of experience with electro-mechanical design;

7) 4 years of experience applying GD&T and engineering drawings for high volume

designs;

8) 4 years of experience creating engineering requirements for HV battery systems;

9) 3 years of experience performing 1D or 3D simulations, including mechanical, thermal,

and electrical;

10) 3 years of experience performing root cause and corrective analyses, including 8D or 5D

analysis, working with quality and manufacturing teams.
