ALSO is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern who’s excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment and eager to help design and develop the next generation of ALSO vehicles and components.
What You Will Do
System integration and test
Validation test setup and operation
Determine test scope, participate in testing and generate test reports
Lower complexity printed circuit board design
Functional testing and creation of test set-up
Design and build custom test equipment such as test PCBAs, harnesses, and overall system design to make validation efficient, modular, and repeatable
Manage projects from initial concept through design, assembly, and final commissioning
Write and maintain test software to automate test execution, data collection and analysis
Develop and maintain validation schedules to coordinate test resources and communicate status to program managers.
What You Will Learn
System integration fundamentals (electrical, firmware, mechanical and other systems interaction)
System validation and testing (test scope definition, test planning and execution, documenting and reporting)
Basics of PCBA design (component selection, placement, routing, fabrication, thermals)
Engineering project management (starting with a project concept, planning out the execution, cross functional collaboration)
What You Will Bring
Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, with an expected graduation date in 2027.
Available Summer 2026
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Experience with electronics CAD (Altium preferred but other systems acceptable)
Experience making or testing or other hands on experience with actual hardware or software; especially personal project not related to work or school

Preferred Experience

Previous internship or project work in a startup, automotive, or mobility company.
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $30.00 to $50.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
