Summary

The Director, Business Development at PaySpace is a senior leadership role responsible for driving global sales strategy and execution, leading different sales streams: direct sales, managed services, and business partners, and overseeing the sales operations. This role demands a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster a high-performance sales culture.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Leadership:

• Develop and implement the global sales strategy in alignment with PaySpace’s overall business objectives.

• Lead and mentor a high-performing global sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

• Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive sales growth and achieve revenue goals.

• Lead the different sales streams: direct sales, managed services, and business partners.

Sales Operations:

• Oversee the sales operations, ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet client needs.

• Develop and execute strategies to expand sales offerings and market penetration.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners, understanding their business requirements and aligning solutions to meet their needs.

Market Expansion and Business Development:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets for PaySpace’s products and services.

• Develop systems and processes to support global expansion efforts.

• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies and drive product positioning.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and inform strategic decisions.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

• Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support.

• Address customer feedback and issues promptly, ensuring positive resolution and continuous improvement.

Financial Management and Reporting:

• Manage the sales budget, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Drive financial efficiency and optimise sales processes to enhance profitability.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.

• Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

• Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Team Development and Collaboration:

• Recruit, train, and develop top sales talent, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

• Promote cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, product development, and customer support teams.

• Drive a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team.

• Implement succession planning to ensure long-term team stability and growth.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, focusing on global sales and sales operations.

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a complex, high-growth environment.

• Strong experience in the software, technology, or SaaS industry.

• Experience in payroll solutions and marketing.

Skills and Competencies:

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong business acumen and financial management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
