Data Project Manager

Role Overview

As the Data Project Manager at Moxie, you will play a key role in supporting the execution and quality of client data migrations and payroll setup processes. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth transitions, timely updates, and high-quality outcomes. This position requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Migration Support & Quality Assurance

  • Execute and monitor client data migrations from various EMR systems into Moxie Suite using automated tools.

  • Perform detailed quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity in all migration files.

  • Identify and escalate migration issues, discrepancies, or technical challenges to the appropriate teams.

  • Maintain clear and consistent documentation for each migration project.

Communication & Coordination

  • Provide regular internal and external updates on migration progress via email and/or Slack.

  • Collaborate closely with Provider Success Managers (PSMs), Onboarding Managers (OMs), and the Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.

  • Track migration milestones and follow up with stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.

Payroll Setup & Support

  • Initiate payroll setup processes for new clients and ensure all required documentation and data are correctly submitted.

  • Monitor the progress of payroll onboarding and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.

  • Communicate updates or blockers to the Payroll Team Lead and assist in coordinating resolution efforts.

Ad Hoc Operations Projects

  • Assist with special projects, process improvements, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

  • Contribute to documentation and optimization of internal workflows related to migrations, payroll, and client onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in data handling and quality assurance with a high attention to detail.

  • Moderate technical proficiency with Google Sheets and/or Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy, timelines, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team alignment.

Success Metrics

  • Migration Accuracy: Percentage of migrations completed without data errors.

  • Communication Responsiveness: Timely and clear updates provided to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Task Completion Rate: Adherence to deadlines for migration, payroll, and ad hoc tasks.
