We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

ALSO is seeking a Data Engineering Intern who’s excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment and eager to help build and support the data systems powering the next generation of ALSO vehicles and components.

What You Will Do

  • Build a unified data pipeline pulling test, fleet, and lab data from multiple sources.

  • Clean, normalize, and structure datasets so they are reliable for KPI generation.

  • Automate KPI calculations (reliability, durability, environmental performance).

  • Create scalable dashboards that update without manual intervention.

  • Document the workflow so the team can maintain and extend it long-term.

What You Will Gain

  • Backend tools experience, Developing efficiencies for real product development by enabling data driven design, visualization tools

  • Vehicle Integration experience, CAN Data Logging, Issue triage and analysis, vehicle test planning

What You Will Bring

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Engineering or a related field with an expected graduation date in 2027.

  • Available Summer 2026

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

  • Experience with scripting languages

  • Experience with signal and data processing and manipulation

What You Will Learn

  • Analyze data, track defects, and drive issues to closure with engineering teams.

  • Resource planning and prioritization

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to data pipelines

  • Exposure with JIRA, Grafana, SIFT or similar tools

  • Previous internship or project work in a startup, automotive, or mobility company.
