About the Role

Dandy is hiring an experienced Controls Technician to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. In this role, you’ll oversee the maintenance and functionality of automation equipment controls and other controls systems as needed. This is an opportunity to work with custom, cutting-edge automation technology in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Work with automation engineers to create and implement programs and processes to optimize equipment efficiency

  • Manage and perform equipment calibration, repairs, preventive maintenance, and testing

  • Perform basic programming and installation of new and existing software required for equipment operations

  • Work within the SCADA system, look for opportunities for continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience as a controls technician/engineer

  • Ability to work night shift (expected 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday)

  • Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks for multiple hours/day

  • Ability to work occasional overtime/weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns

  • A self-driven individual with a desire and ability to work under minimal supervision

  • A curious mind with a need to “get to the bottom” of issues and improvement opportunities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with Siemens controls

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in a maintenance or controls role
