As a Child Development Specialist (RBT) at Tellos, you will work 1:1 with children with autism, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in home or community settings. Make a Difference for One Child - We’ll Train You
Tellos is hiring a part-time Behavior Technician in Buxton, NC to work one-on-one with a child with autism. No RBT certification is required - we provide and pay for the training needed to become certified.
This is an excellent fit for a teacher, teaching assistant, childcare professional, CNA, coach or caregiver who is patient, dependable and naturally connects with children.
The Opportunity
Pay: $22–$28/hour, based on certification and relevant experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 3-6pm
Weekly hours: Approximately 15 hours/week
Location: In-home services in Buxton
Start date: ASAP
Employment: Part-time W-2 position
What You’ll Do
Help one child strengthen communication, daily-living and social skills
Deliver structured, play-based one-on-one support
Follow a treatment plan designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Record progress after each session
Receive regular coaching and clinical support—you will not be left to figure it out alone
We’ll Help You Become an RBT
If you are not already certified, Tellos will provide:
Paid RBT training
Support through the competency assessment and certification process
Ongoing coaching from an experienced BCBA
You May Be a Great Fit If You
Have experience working with children - professional or personal
Are patient, warm, dependable and receptive to feedback
Can consistently work the listed schedule
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Experience with autism or special needs is valuable, but not required.
