What You’ll Do
Make an Impact in Pharmacy Leadership
Are you ready to take the next step in your pharmacy career? As Assistant Pharmacy Manager, you'll be a key leader helping to shape the future of our pharmacy team and the care we provide. Working alongside the Pharmacy Management team, you’ll guide day-to-day operations while mentoring staff, optimizing workflow, and driving continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
Lead with purpose – Support hiring, scheduling, and performance management to build a high-performing pharmacy team.
Build a culture of excellence – Take charge of onboarding, training, and team development, including creating SOPs and reference materials.
Ensure smooth, compliant operations – Oversee daily workflow and uphold compliance with federal/provincial regulations and company standards.
Be a trusted point of contact – Step in as pharmacist-in-charge, liaising with regulators, auditors, and third parties as needed.
Drive growth and feedback – Participate in performance evaluations and foster a feedback-rich, growth-oriented environment.
Optimize resources – Collaborate on supply management, inventory audits, and asset upkeep.
Champion patient safety – Supervise prescription preparation and dispensing, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality.
Engage with patients – Provide expert medication consultations and support clinical services.
Promote a culture of safety – Lead reporting and resolution of prescription incidents with a proactive mindset.
Inspire innovation and care – Help shape a team culture rooted in collaboration, compassion, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Licensing: A Part A licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Experience: 5+ years of pharmacy experience, with leadership or management experience preferred
Team Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to lead, support, and coach staff
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and collaboration
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Kroll and comfort working with pharmacy management systems
Attention to Detail: Committed to accuracy, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
Hands-on operational leadership: Ability to support and improve operational processes in a fast-paced environment
Inventory Knowledge: Familiarity with ordering, audits, and supply management procedures
Professional Standards: Respect for safety protocols and commitment to upholding OCP and NAPRA standards.
