About the Role:

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with organizing and directing warehouse operations. Coordinating activities to ensure efficient utilization of warehouse resources and optimizing end-to-end fulfillment flow. You will be a key stakeholder in optimizing a specific operation to aid Hims/Hers grows. This role is based in New Albany, Ohio, and will report to an Operations Manager.

Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (may require flexibility based on business needs)

  • Pharmacist Process Flow

  • Pharmacy Technician Dispense

  • Inventory Management

  • Fulfillment

  • Inbound Operations

  • Compounding Operations

  • Inventory Control

  • Value Added Services

You Will:

  • Oversee end-to-end shift/department operations across order processing, fulfillment (picking/packing), receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, quality control, order tracking, shipping preparation, and shipping execution.

  • Lead a safety-first culture by ensuring team member participation in problem-solving, corrective actions, and implementation of safe work practices.

  • Partner cross-functionally with departmental leaders, pharmacy staff, and external support partners to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and patient/customer expectations.

  • Manage daily execution by monitoring productivity, quality, and attendance; identify gaps and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.

  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve errors, discrepancies, and nonconformance issues to protect inventory accuracy and operational compliance.

  • Coordinate with warehouse management on operating issues, including root cause analysis and recommended solutions to restore performance quickly and smoothly.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead projects that support departmental goals, standard work, and process optimization.

  • Maintain staffing plans and department schedules to support fulfillment demand and prevent delays.

  • Support recruiting and talent management activities, including interviewing/selection, onboarding, performance management, and development to meet performance objectives.

  • Ensure all new hires and transfers are fully trained and compliant; deliver and/or coordinate training as needed and confirm training effectiveness.

  • Participate in cross-shift and cross-department support, including cross-training and redeploying resources to meet critical business needs.

  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) SOPs, regulatory requirements, and equipment/policy standards, including department-specific procedures.

  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift across Pharmacy, Fulfillment, and Compounding in a 24/7 operation.

You Have:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

  • 4-6 years of leadership/people management experience required

  • Proactive and motivational customer focused attitude to help set the tone for an energetic work environment.

  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.

  • Strong prioritization and time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficient knowledge of computers and applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Docs and Gmail.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to support a 24/7 operation (only if you keep this requirement)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt preferred) or equivalent continuous improvement certification

  • Experience in high-growth and/or startup environments

  • Experience working in or partnering with third-party logistics (3PL) providers

  • Project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution

  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiencies through continuous improvement efforts

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.

  • This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

  • Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.
