Role Overview

As an Analytics Engineer at OFX, you will work within a cross-functional data and insights team, analyzing data to uncover patterns and insights while becoming a Subject Matter Expert in your business domain. Day to day, you will:Analyse data, looking for patterns and correlations, mapping out customer journeys and deriving new insightsPartner closely with one of our business domains, becoming a Subject Matter Expert in their data and training them in how to use itCreate new data models, transformations, and visualisations, with a focus on driving self-service and data literacy for our business usersWork within a wider engineering and insights team, adopting and contributing to best practices for data modelling, transformation, and analysisCoordinate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve any production issues which arise, turning resolutions into repeatable patterns which can be used to drive continuous improvement to our systems and processesQualificationsWhat you bringAt least 2 years experience in Python, SQL, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Data VisualisationA proven track record of delivering high quality insights to business stakeholders, and driving data-based decisioningExperience with working across engineering and insights teams to implement and maintain production solutionsPrevious exposure to event-based data sources and near real-time analyticsCuriosity for exploring, interpreting, and understanding dataGood to havePrevious domain experience in the Financial Services industryExperience with BigQuery, Looker Studio, Mixpanel, or DBTFamiliarity with the One Big Table (OBT) design patternKnowledge and expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligencePrevious experience operating in an agile development team which uses Kanban methodologyAdditional InformationWhat it's like working at OFXWe re OFXers because we want to make a difference.
