About the Role
We're looking for a Biology Specialist AI Tutor to join our team as a subject matter expert, working at the intersection of frontier AI and life sciences. You'll play a critical role in crafting, evaluating, and stress-testing complex scientific prompts to help advance the capabilities of large language models.
What You'll Do
Design and evaluate high-difficulty biology prompts that probe the limits of AI models
Identify reasoning errors, weaknesses, and failure modes in model outputs
Apply adversarial prompting techniques to surface gaps in model understanding
Provide expert-level feedback on model responses across molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, and related subfields
Collaborate with project leads to maintain high quality and consistency standards
What We're Looking For
PhD in Biology or a closely related life sciences field
Deep subject matter expertise — ability to work at PhD-level complexity
Prior experience in AI data annotation or RLHF (hands-on tasking)
Strong written communication and attention to detail
Permanently based in the US
Extra Credit
Research experience with published work in a reputable biological journal
Experience with adversarial prompting, red teaming, or model evaluation strongly preferred
Teaching experience (professor, lecturer, or tutor in biology or related fields)
Experience in technical writing, science communication, or professional scientific writing
